CRWM soon to initaite a public awareness campaign
Initail focus on Conservation Commissions and Boards of Health
Today's Date -- An effort in Massachusetts by the CRWM to raise
awareness as to what modern trapping is and the benefits it has to both society and
wildlife is getting underway. The initial focus is to target Conservation
Commissions and Boards of Health, in an effort to reintroduce furbearer trapping as a
viable, essential tool for manageing wildlfie. While non-leathal alternatives are
important in a furbearer management program, proactive regulated management of the
population by lethal means is critical for the overall health of our current ecosytems.
